Non-Surgical Face Lift - Dr. Renu V. Singla - APTOS Certified Plastic Surgeon
A facelift, also known as Rhytidectomy, is a popular choice for many individuals each year who wish to turn back the hands of time. In the modern era, all anti-aging procedures are gauged against the results of a facelift. This operation sets the benchmark for all anti-aging procedures. It can address midface sagging, jowls, neck folds, double chin, marionette lines, and facial wrinkles in a single procedure. The process involves tightening the muscles and repositioning the skin to accommodate the tightened muscles. This rejuvenation method offers unmatched results and longevity. It boasts one of the highest satisfaction rates among cosmetic surgery patients.
In terms of the total investment for the rejuvenation procedure, it is also cost-effective. The cumulative cost of repeated fillers and rejuvenation procedures can be significant when compared to a facelift. It offers a one-time, long-lasting, cost-effective solution for comprehensive rejuvenation of the face and neck.
Most patients consider a facelift when their reflection in the mirror does not match their youthful spirit and energy.

Cons
- A facelift doesnโt transform you into a different person, as some people desire. It makes you look fresher and more rejuvenated.
- As this is a surgical procedure, there is associated downtime. This is a small price to pay for the permanent benefits you will reap from this procedure.
What should I expect from my facelift procedure?
This procedure will make you look younger, fresher, smoother, and rejuvenated. It will eliminate all your major folds and wrinkles.
How is a facelift performed?
The majority of facelift surgeries primarily focus on the lower face. It can also target the midface and the forehead in the same surgery. This surgery is performed under general anesthesia or IV sedation with local anesthesia. An incision is placed in the hidden part of the face, along the hairline and along the ear, which extends back to the hairline. At this place, one will not be able to detect the scar eventually. This is also an area that can be camouflaged until the wound is healing. The skin envelope is lifted, and the face and neck muscles are tightened. The skin is repositioned, and the excess skin is removed. The suture is done with either absorbable or removable sutures.
There are different approaches to a facelift, but this is the most common one. Depending on your requirement, fat injections, fillers, or implants may need to be added to the procedure.
The goal of your Cosmetic Plastic surgeon, Dr. Renu, is to give you a pleasing result with minimal downtime and well-concealed scars. There is usually a team to take care of your post-operative needs, and everyoneโs goal is to make your rejuvenation journey comfortable and rewarding.
How will the incisions look like?
Almost all facelifts will have incisions that run around the front of the ear, but they are all well concealed. The extent of the incisions may differ based on the type of surgery being planned.
- Traditional facelift: The incision will run from the temples, in front of the ear, back of the ear, and disappears into the hairline at the back.
- Short scar facelift: This too starts at the temple, goes down to the front of the ear, and just turns around the earlobe. There may be additional small incisions needed to access different areas if desired.
- Neck lift: This lift will need an incision in the front of the earlobe and behind the ear. You will also need to have an incision under the chin area to access the loose muscles of the neck.
Your board-certified Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Renu, will make these incisions as hidden as possible and may customize the incisions according to the requirement. Scarring properties depend on a lot of factors
